Allie David Oliva

Allie D. Oliva, 89, husband of Marion (Hall) Oliva since 1959, of East Hartford, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at Hartford Hospital. He was born May 29, 1922 in Hartford to the late Anthony and Julia (Attademo) Oliva.

He was a long time resident of East Hartford. After graduating from college he joined the Army serving in WWII. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney as an engineer retiring in 1982.

In addition to his wife, Marion, Allie is survived by his son, Brian and his wife Laurie of Willow Spring, NC; his daughter, Karen Six and her husband Robert of Schoolcraft, MI; his sister, Rose Quatropani; his granddaughter, Kristen Oliva and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his brother Louie.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2011, from 5 to 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Allie's name may be made to the donor’s choice.
