

Alta J. (Cormier) Boudreau, beloved wife of the late Emery J. Boudreau passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on May 31, 2025. She was born in Moncton, New Brunswick Canada on November 20, 1926, daughter of the late Fidele and Elise (LeBlanc) Cormier. Alta is survived by her 4 children: Conrad, Jules, Denise & Charlotte. Along with her husband, she was predeceased by her son Roderick, and her siblings Paul Cormier, Florence Kingston & Bernette Cormier of Moncton, Geneva Orlando of Fitchburg, MA, and Roderick Cormier of Quebec City. She is survived by her 6 grandchildren.
Alta grew up in Moncton and was employed as an office worker before deciding to devote herself to raising her family and the crafts of knitting & quilting. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Isaac Jogues church and a member of the St. Rose Our Lady of Consolation Mother’s Circle for many decades where she cherished her many friendships. She volunteered with the Meals on Wheels & the Callgivers programs. She later worked at the JC Penny Catalog center after raising her children. She loved to watch & cheer on her UCONN Lady Huskies.
She was happiest spending her summer months at her cottage on the shores of the Northumberland Strait, gardening, berry picking and visiting with her childhood friends & siblings. There will be a gathering of friends & family at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT on September 18th from 4-7 pm. Burial will be private at the family's convenience.
