

Anna Belle was born June 18, 1934, in Burlington, VT, to Marjory and Leslie Benedict of Bethel, VT.
She graduated from the University of Vermont as well as the University of Hartford earning a Masters degree in Elementary Education and was employed by the East Hartford Public School System, as a first and second grade teacher.
She was a long time member of New Covenant United Methodist Church, formerly known as Burnside United Methodist Church. She enjoyed teaching, playing the piano, being with family and spent most of her time helping others. Anna Belle will be most remembered for her kindness and her generous nature, always opening her home to welcome friends and family in need.
Anna Belle is survived and will be dearly missed by: her son Jim Heintz and his wife Sue of Stafford Springs, her son David Heintz and his wife Terri of East Granby, and her daughter Susan Heintz of Stamford. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Chris Heintz of Stamford, Beth Heintz of Palm Coast, Florida, Elena Bourgoing of West Hartford, and Aleisha Schoenborn of East Granby, great grandchildren: Kylie, Savannah, Jenna and Brianna.
Anna Belle is survived by and was the beloved sister of Robert Benedict of Hartford, CT and Richard Benedict of Surprise, AZ. She was loved and will be missed by her niece Diane Tiech of East Hartford, her great niece Nicole Maragnano and her beloved great grandnephew Austin Browne of Bloomfield, CT.
A Memorial Service will be at New Covenant United Methodist Church, 16 Church Street, East Hartford, CT on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. All are invited to attend this celebration of Anna Belle’s life.
