Archie Frenette, 94, of East Hartford, widower of the late Beatrice (Balf) Frenette passed away January 3, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. He was born to the late Archie and Jennie (Sutcliff) Frenette December 25, 1924. He moved to East Hartford in 1948. Archie was one of the first 18 year olds who joined the Army in 1942. He served in Italy in the 3rd division. He was a life member of the VFW 2083 in East Hartford. He worked at AC Peterson Farms Dairy for 43 years, first as a milkman and then became manager of several Petersen Restaurants. He also ran the East Hartford Golf Course restaurant along with his sons and family for 6 years. Archie leaves behind his 3 sons Paul Frenette and his wife Donna (Zack) Frenette of Manchester, David Frenette and his wife Debbie (Dorr) Frenette of Granby, Ronald Frenette of East Hartford and 6 Grand Children, and 10 Great Grand Children. He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Florence Cooper and Eleanor Morency and one brother, George Frenette Calling hours for Archie will be held Thursday January 10, 2019 from 4-7PM at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT 06108. Services will be held the following day Friday January 11, 2019 at 11:00AM at the Funeral Home followed by burial at Silver Lane Cemetery located on Silver Lane in East Hartford.
