Mrs. Beatrice Beatie I Adler Austin

Beatrice I. Austin 76, longtime resident of East Hartford and widow of Elvin Clark Austin, passed away on July 13, 2011 at Windham Hospital. She was born December 28, 1934 in Shavertown, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Gustave Frederick and Marie (Jones) Adler. Beatrice was a Legal Secretary for Francis Vignati Sr. Law Offices and Vincent Diana and a court stenographer.

She leaves her four children Linda M. Masi of East Hartford, Elizabeth M. Austin of Portland, Robin L. Schiche of East Hartford and Erik T. Austin and his wife Chelsea of Coventry; her eighteen grandchildren Jared L. Wheeler, Samantha M. Wheeler, (and their father David Wheeler), Larissa L. Masi, Katrina M. Masi, John Anthony Austin, Amber Marie Austin, Amanda Saunders and her husband Lawrence, Jessica Gworek and her husband Nick, Lawrence Derosiers, Jr., Stephen Burke, Ashlee Schiche, Darin Clark Schiche, Brittney Austin, Erika Austin, Taylor Austin, Erik Austin, Madison Austin, Mason Austin and three great-grandchildren Cassandra and Alexis Saunders and Trevor Gworek; her closest Nieces and Nephews Dianna Caruso and her children Lauren and Peter, Elaine Chapedelaine and her husband George and Stanely (Sonny) Ruthiewicz and his daughter Crystal; David Wallace and Lewis Wallace and his wife Lorell; and her sister-in-laws Merle (Maude) Adler-Shanahan of East Hartford and Frances Austin of North Carolina.

Beatrice was predeceased by her siblings, Ruth Wallace, Melvie Adler, Laura Muhler, Robert Adler and Marie Ruthiewicz and her brother-in-law Ronald Wright Austin and several nieces and nephews.

Beatrice's Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday July 19th at 2 p.m. in the Veterans Memorial Field of Hillside Cemetery, 162 Hillside Street, East Hartford.
