

Blacey J. Futtner Jr., 72, of East Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2016. He was born in Hartford a son of the late Blacey J. Sr. and Mabel (Izzo) Futtner. He was the owner operator of Futtners Farm in East Windsor. His passion was farming, both vegetables and flowers, collecting beer cans, fishing and was an avid Nascar fan. His joy came mostly from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Laura “Laurie” (Simmons) Futtner, his daughter Karen Eagle and her husband Darrin of Springfield, MA. His two sons Blacey J. Futtner III and his fiancée Jackie Decoteau and Rocco Futtner and his wife Denise all of South Windsor, four grandchildren Matthew, Megan and Michael Futtner and Blake Decoteau and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Mabel Stoltz and her husband Clyde. Funeral services will be Wednesday December 28, 2016 at 9:00AM from the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial 10:00AM at St. Rose Church, 33 Church Street, burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Burnside Avenue, all in East Hartford.
