Carmine J. "Babe" Napolitano, 89, of Stafford Springs, formerly of East Hartford, died Monday August 30, 2010. He was born in New York City, NY, a son of the late Carmine and Concetta Napolitano. He was the owner operator of the former Acme Roofing Company, now Allied Roofing of East Hartford. He was a member St. Mary Catholic Church and a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. His wife Ruth (Brodie) Napolitano predeceased him in 1986. He is survived by his daughters Jane Guardo and her husband Art of Florida and Susan Duguay of Texas, his sons Richard Napolitano and his wife Donna of Stafford Springs and Michael Napolitano and his wife Lori of Coventry, 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by another son Carmine Napolitano.
Visiting hours at the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, are Saturday morning Sept. 4th, from 8-9:30AM, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial 10 AM in St. Mary Church, burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, all in East Hartford.
