Christian James Vazquez Abramczyk

July 18, 1997June 30, 2013

Christian James Abramczyk, 15, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, June 30th, at home after a brave battle with Muscular Dystrophy; he never gave up his battle and always had a beautiful smile all the way to the end. He had a radiant spirit and taught us more than we could ever teach him. His faith in the Lord taught us all so much. He loved his family, Sam the cat, his video games his old rock-n-roll, watching world events and reading the Bible. He was a student at NBHS until December when he was unable to return. He was a man of few words and had a gentle spirit and kind heart. He took a piece of our hearts with him. Christian leaves behind to cherish his memory; his mother, Kori Abramczyk, father, James Vazquez, little brother, Jaydon David Fuentes, his grandma “mom” Junia, whose greatest joy was spending everyday with him watching him grow into the young man he became. Special thanks to Masonicare’s PediPal Program, his friend and aide Aida Burgos, Dr. Heller (CCMC and Dr. Whitaker (HSC), the nurses and doctors in PICU and the ER at CCMC. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to assist with expenses. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 5th, from 10am to 1pm, at Triumphant Church, 250Arch St., New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. My condolences for your lost. May the "Father of tender mercies" give you strength and peace, as we await His assured day when " death will be no more, neither mourning, nor outcry nor pain be anymore."

My condolences. May you be comforted knowing that your Heavenly Father understands your pain and he is here for you. He will give you the strength you will need to endure this painful time. - Psalms 62:6 "Indeed he is my rock and my salvation, my secure height; I shall not be made to totter."

My condolences to Christian's family & loved ones. I had the pleasure of tutoring Christian at home for several months when he was out from NBHS in early 2013. He was a motivated & intelligent student, and an all-around great kid. Sorry again for your tragic loss.

I had the pleasure of meeting you a while back since you were in elementary school @ Gaffney then again @ Pulaski I remember how you use to joke when we lay you down on the mat to rest everyday and how you always was reading a book but I remember the most how smart you was and your sense of humor you sure knew how to make a person smile. I know you are in a better place where there's no weakneses and no sickness where you'll be able to run around as you please as it was always meant to be... We will forever miss you.

"He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul." -Psalm 23:2-3
It was a blessing and at first not easy to recognize privilege to share with Christtian, strong, intelligent, hard will young man. May God be the family comfort, my respects.

i love you christian dearly. i hope the lord has a great spot for you on his side. and when i join you save me a spot by your side as well. off to the light you go wich i have briefly once seen so i know you are safe without suffering. when you asked me if i like spider man yes i do but i dont like spiders. you are very lucky to be with god ive waited a long time but i guess i have to be as pure as you. see you sometime till then watch over us all and tell our lord to touch your mom and your fathers heart and the rest of us that we come to an understanding that where you are is where we dream to be. i love you.

Dear June, Kori, and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Christian certainly was a "man of few words" but had a dry sense of humor and a great smile. It has been an honor to be a part of his life and to get to know you over the years. Thank you for calling to let me know.

I knew Christian a few years ago when I taught at Pulaski Middle School. He always had a beautiful smile on his face. Even with your condition Christian you always managed to be happy. I can't believe that you're gone but you are always going to live in our hearts and in our memories. My condolences to all of your family. I'm not going to say goodbye I'd rather say see you later in the heavens above.
