

Claudius Henville, known as “Wilson, Ray”, 90, of East Hartford, left to be with the Lord on January 21st, 2012 while at home, surrounded by his loving family. Originally from the island of Saint Lucia, he worked as a successful chef in Antigua and St. Thomas (USVI) before retiring. He was a loving husband, father, brother and mentor. He was considered the leader of his family whom he cherished. He will be most remembered for his decadent meals, his wisdom as a leader and being the “greatest dad anyone could ever have”. The family would like to thank all their friends that showed support in their time of grief.
He will be dearly missed by his wife who’s been in his life for over 60 years, Simone (Jules) Henville; his daughters, Christina “Claudita” Abraha, Cecilia “Eugie” Francis, Petronilla “Hillary” Henville; his son Tybrel Raymond; his brothers, Antoine Leyakatalie, Salton Henville, Melvin Henville; his sister Lebeneia Henville; his 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and one great great- grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and numerous dear friends and family members including the Raymond Family of Delaied and Grand Riviere, Dennery, St. Lucia, the Henville Family of GrosIslet, Saint Lucia, and family and friends from Mabouya Valley, Deniere Riviere.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 28th, at 10 AM, at St. Rose Church, 33 Church St. East Hartford. Friends are asked to meet at church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 27th, from 4 to 8 PM at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108.
