Daniel Kwaku Boateng, transitioned to rest in the arms of the Lord on March 5, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts. Born on December 30, 1974, in Accra, Ghana, Daniel was the cherished son of Nana Okai Duam I and the late Vida Asantewaa. He was the oldest of four brothers; Charles, Nana Kwadwo and Richard.
From an early age, Daniel exhibited intellectual curiosity, disciplined nature, and an unyielding drive for excellence that would define his life. Daniel began his education at Cambridge Preparatory School, where his teachers quickly recognized his bright mind and remarkable sense of responsibility. He continued his secondary education at Abetifi Senior High School, and subsequently at the prestigious Adisadel College. These institutions helped shape his leadership qualities and deepened the values that guided his life.
Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Committed to advancing his expertise, he obtained an MBA in Finance from the University of Windsor, also in Ontario. His strong academic foundation propelled him into a professional journey marked by diligence, creativity, and unwavering integrity. Those who knew Daniel describe him as a man of extraordinary positivity and purpose who believed deeply in excellence—not only for himself but for everyone around him.
Daniel’s honesty, resilience, and creativity remained unmatched. His remarkably proactive spirit inspired many; whether solving complex problems or initiating innovative ideas, Daniel acted with intention and humility. He was often the first to lend a helping hand, offer a word of wisdom, or lighten a heavy moment with laughter. His presence brought warmth, reliability, and joy—qualities that now leave an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who loved him. More than his accomplishments, Daniel deeply valued family. He is survived by his wife, Abigail Boadu, and their beloved children, Zion and Phoebe Boateng; who were his greatest pride and source of unending joy. His legacy lives on through them and through the many lives he impacted across continents. Daniel’s life was a gift, a beacon of compassion, intellect, and quiet strength.
Though his passing leaves us with immense grief, his memory remains a blessing and a guide to all who were fortunate enough to know him. We shed tears because you are gone but we can also smile because you lived. If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, we would walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again, Kwaku Boateng. May your journey to heaven be as beautiful as your life on Earth. Rest in Peace, Roots Nerro, as you were affectionately called. Your spirit lives with us, forever in our hearts. May your soul rest in perfect.
