Domingo Aldarondo, 74, of East Hartford, passed away on March 14, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital after losing his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Domingo was the beloved companion of Elizabeth Rose for 14 years.
Domingo was born July 11, 1943 in Puerto Rico to the late Juan Aldarondo Santiago and Delfina Perez Guzman.
Domingo was an auto mechanic for the Public Works Department for the City of Hartford for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with his family and loved ones. He spent most of his time caring for his family. Domingo will be most remembered for his humor, and his loving and caring soul.
Besides his companion Elizabeth, he is survived and will be dearly missed by his sons, Domingo Aldarondo Jr, John Aldarondo, Urliseb Aldarondo, daughters, Maribel Aldarondo, Noemi Aldarondo, brother Carmelo Aldarondo, sisters, Maria DeLacruz, Maria Luisa Aldarondo, Ana Aldarondo, Virginia Aldarondo, Norma Aldarondo, Carmen Aldarondo, grandchildren: Jesus Cruz, Amanda Cruz, Jose Anthony Pedraza, Melanie Aldarondo, Amaya Aldarondo, Raul Gomez III, Xavier Oscar Gomez, great grandchildren, Annalee Serrano, Omaralize DeJesus, Mila Anischik, 13 nieces and 9 nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018 4-7pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. Services will begin on Wednesday, March 21, at 9am. with a brief period of visitation followed by a funeral service. Burial will be in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
