

Dominic Anthony Radocchia, 85, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. and Aruba, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday July 16, 2014. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on July 9, 1929, son of the late Camillo and Phyllis (Tillona) Radocchia. Dominic was predeceased in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Anne (Griffin) Radocchia in 2008. He was the father of six children, Stephen and his wife Kelly of South Glastonbury, John and his wife Christine of Glastonbury, Richard of Shelton, Phyllis Luntta and her husband Karl of Glenmont, NY and Laura Pascarella of East Haddam, CT. Twelve grandchildren, Nicole, Samantha, Michael, Andrew, Alec and Christopher Radocchia, James and Felicia Pascarella, Kaarlo and Jack Luntta, Erin and Matthew Moroni and Julie and Jason Peller, one great grandson Noah Peller. Dominic is also survived by his brother Emil and his wife Celeste Radocchia, sisters in law, Marie Licari, Kathy Reidy, Lillian, Lynn and Victoria Griffin and several nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Boston University in 1953 with a degree in business, he worked in marketing for a regional appliance distributor then founded the Namco Pool and Patio Company in 1963, building it into a successful national business with his children until its sale in 2003. Besides his passion for business, Dominic was an avid reader and history buff and loved spending time in Niantic and Aruba with friends and family. Many thanks to the staff of Boca Nursing, Kathy McNeal and Alma Vacunawa for their loving care. He was predeceased by his daughter Donna Marie Radocchia.
Funeral services will be Saturday July 19, 2014 at 10AM, at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, followed by burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill, CT. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Friday July 18, 2014 from 5-8PM.
