Doris B. Kowalski, 87 of Glastonbury, passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2015. She was the wife of the late Anthony Kowalski. Doris was born on Jun 18, 1927 in Worcester, MA a daughter of the late Louis A. and Irene (LaMothe) Bourgeois. She lived in Worcester until the age of 4 and resided near Quebec, Canada, returning to the United States prior to World War II.
She was employed for several years by the Kage Company in Manchester, and ended her working days as a cashier at Stop & Shop. Doris was very active with AA in her earlier years.
Doris is survived by her children; daughter Carol Bode of Littleton, Co., son John Sloan of Manchester, Ct., daughter Mary (Jim) Garst of Seymour, Tn., daughter Lori Stewart of Sevierville, Tn., son Thomas Sloan of Rochester, Mn., and son Michael J. Sloan.
She will also be missed by her sister Pauline (Larry) Gaucher of Roswell, Nm., and her two caring nephews who were very kind and good to her; Bruce Gaucher of Roswell, Nm. and Brian (Kristina) Gaucher of Brookfield, Ct.
