I am still having a hard time with knowing that this gentle soul passed on.  He had one of the biggest hearts I have ever come across.  He taught me how to drive when I first moved to the US.  When I started nursing school and was having car issues he let me borrow  his spare car to use for a few months until I got another car before he came for his even though I lived in another state !!  

I can’t believe that just a little over two weeks before he passed we were on the phone for over 2 hours talking about everything under the sun and laughed so much after looking back on our time together.  I asked him if he has been taking good care of himself and he responded with “I still look younger than my age so yes I am taking care of myself”, and to prove that to me he faced timed me to show me how good he was doing since I have not seen him in over ten years even though we’ve kept in touch.   I almost drove off the road when I was told he passed, I actually called his phone to see if this was some sort of a prank.  My heart is still broken from his loss, even though we hit a rough patch in the past I still cared for him and his well being and checked on him with phone calls.  The world has lost a great man.  May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace until we meet again.  😢😢😢😢

Sly was the first to come take me out of my boredom when I came to the states 5 years ago. First time I saw him. Calm, neatly dressed in his suit and gave me a ride to get my kenkey, shito and other essentials. He did that several times for me for free. He gave me his Subaru for free so I can move around easily .
He moved his van to come help me move from Manchester to become his roommate. He said,  "Nii, stay here with me. You can even bring your children from Ghana to come live with us. "

Even when I went to play pool at night,  he prepared dinner for me...
I remember all his great sides yes he will do so much groceries occasionally and make sure there's food for everyone even though he's working everyday and therefore not home often...
With much tears in my eyes I can only afford to say, "Nii Nmai, yaawo odzogbaa!" Rest in Perfect Peace,  big brother and my heartfelt condolences to your wife and daughters and the family 🙏 🙏 🙏
