

Edward Frank Fink, 91 loving husband of Dolores Lillian (Voirol) Fink and lifelong resident of East Hartford passed away on Saturday (December 3, 2011) at Hartford Hospital. He was born July 5, 1920 in East Hartford son of the late Frank G. & Anna Mae (Schultz) Fink. After high school Edward served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He wed his beloved Dolores on Sept. 10, 1945 in Fort Wayne, IN.
Edward built numerous houses in both East Hartford and Glastonbury in the family business, Frank G. Fink & Son’s Contractors and Builders. He was a member of the American Legion and was an avid UConn Husky Women’s basketball fan. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and loved his spicy foods.
Along with his loving wife of 66 years Dolores Fink: he is survived by his eight children, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Donald Fink of East Hartford: David Fink and his wife Carol of Higganum, their family Jeremy & Emily: Dianne Lane of Manchester, her family Dori & Nathan: Janice Glenney and her husband Randy of Vernon, their daughters Allison & Robyn: Stephen Fink and his wife Susan of West Columbia, SC, their sons Zachary, Jonathan, Joshua & Benjamin: Patricia Rolfe of Andover and her daughter Christina: Michael Fink of Fort Wayne, IN: and Nancy Fink of Norwich; and his two great grandsons Christian & Austin; and numerous relatives and friends. Besides both his parents he was predeceased by his sister Ruth Drusnick and his brother Richard Fink.
Funeral services will be Thursday (Dec. 8th) at 11 am in the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT. Burial will follow in Veterans Memorial Field of Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Edward’s memory to the VNA Healthcare Inc., 969 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT 06033 or the American Heart Association, P.O.
