My deepest condolences to the McGrath family from your childhood Wind Road neighbor. We were kids at such a relatively innocent and safe time. I remember neighborhood forts and games in the field behind your house - now apartments. We climbed trees, played kickball, rode bikes, roller-skated around the block, and slid down the hill in Mahon’s yard in the winter. Such a special time to grow up when everybody’s mom was home, and we were all told to, “Just go outside!” I am closest in age to Shelia, but remember you all. I cherish my Wind Road neighborhood memories and hope you do too. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all in sympathy for your loss.
Most sincerely from, Luci Leone now, Lucille Paganetti then.

Dear McGrath family,
I miss seeing Edward everyday. I miss his smile and great sense of humor. I miss the voicemails he'd leave on my office phone-even when he'd yell at me :) I miss his requests for more books and baseball hats. He was a very special guy who will always hold a very special place in my heart. He loved his family so much and cherished the notes and cards, the visits and going out for Chinese or McDonalds. I find comfort knowing he is at peace.
My sincere condolences to all of you,
Lisa Caron

So sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Ed was a good friend growing up and the families spent many days and years in the yards playing ball, riding bikes and a host of other activities. We also have fond memories of the many times in the pool with the entire family. Ed was the peacemaker among our friend group, always willing to step into our Red Sox vs Yankees banter to keep the peace. My condolences to the entire family.
