Elizabeth “Betty” Cowles Jardine, 93, of South Windsor, passed away on February 3, 2013 at home. She was born to the late Hubert and Elizabeth (Williams) Botelle. Betty was a loving and devoted wife and mother who had an incredible work ethic which she instilled in her family. She will be most remembered for her amazing cooking and talent with crafts.
She leaves behind her children Larry Cowles and his wife Sonia, Earl Cowles and his wife Carol, Elizabeth Pfenning and her husband Mark; her stepsons Donald Jardine and his wife Ann Jardine, Kenneth Jardine; her sister Alida Manley; 6 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Billie Cowles and her husbands William Cowles and William Jardine.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 9AM, at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford CT 06108 followed by a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 10AM. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
