Evelyn: I met her at Manchester Manor I was a fresh graduate out of school and a new hire; I received top tier training and preparation for what my current occupation as a Nurses Aid. Her smile her words of wisdom and work ethic.. She always talked about her family and church and I enjoyed looking at all the coupons at break time… I am in such array to find out my dear “sistah” as she would say is no longer with us. I will forever hold Evelyn in my spirit and heart. She is missed.

Oh Evelyn you are a beautiful person.  I enjoyed many special memories with you and your family.  Love you and your family.

Writing this is accepting you are no longer here and as hard as it is,  I am slowly coming to terms with it.

I write as a "stranger" who met her periodically because our kids were in the same elementary school. She was full of life in every sense of the word. Her beauty was noticeable, but her demanour cut through even that! I'm sorry her brightness isn't here on earth any more. May the family and friends be comforted.

I was heartbroken when I heard about your passing because you left soon. But I know God controls our lives.  Please allow me to acknowledge the beautiful person that you were and express my feeling toward you. You were more than a friend and, more importantly, a sister to me. Your presence was felt whenever you were around. Your beautiful laugh was contagious and full of life. Many years ago, we lost electricity for several days during a storm event. She was a beautiful person!! There wasn't a day that I came to work and I didn't feel loved by Evelin. She would shout my name form across the wing, so I was made aware of her precenses and so I could start walking towards her, to give her, her well deserved hug and kiss. She would call me names like miss Colombia, beautiful girl, etc. She made me feel like family at work. Now I walk the halway She used work and sometimes I still look for her. Her memory will always live with me and all the people she helped daily.
RIP👼. 


Evie was a rare gem of a person. Always a smile and encouraging word. She had a way of connecting to everyone, and making everyone feel special. She will leave a giant hole at Manchester Manor, and in the hearts of all who loved her.
