

Floss Carlson, of Milford, Connecticut, passed away on Tuesday August 15, 2012. She was the daughter of the late John and Elsie March of Manchester, Connecticut, and wife of the late Ted Carlson. Floss Carlson had lived in Milford since the 1950’s and had been a supervisor for the W.T. Grant Company in the state of Virginia and in Bridgeport and Milford, Connecticut. She was the owner of Carlson’s Flowerville on the Post Road in Milford for many years before retiring. She was a member of Milford Senior Center. Floss has sadly missed her late sister Bernice Ruff, and her late brother Carl March. Remaining survivors are brother David March of Glastonbury, and a sister Gloria Prior of Coventry, and twenty three nieces and nephews, the closest being Carla Pusztai of South Windsor and her husband Peter and daughter Kaitlynn, Sandra Young of California, Joy Millard of Manchester, and a dear cousin Lauren Magnuson of New Hampshire. Floss was also predeceased by brothers Leon March and Robert March, and a sister Gladys Steiner. A very special thank you from Floss and her family to Victor Daly and his family, and to Carol Digsby and Janie and Butch Merola, all of whom were there for Floss every day till the end, making sure she was loved, comfortable and well cared for. Her funeral service is Monday August 20th at 11AM, at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT. Her burial will follow in Green Cemetery.
