Helene Rachel Jacques

Born on May 4, 1953, Helene was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She shared an extraordinary bond with her beloved husband, Richard Jacques. Married for 49 wonderful years, they were not only husband and wife but also best friends, inseparable in their love and unwavering in their devotion. Their partnership exemplified deep commitment and enduring affection.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Jacques; her son, Robert Jacques; her daughter, Sherry York, and son-in-law, Bobby York; and her grandchildren, Emma and Hayden York.

Helene will be remembered for her love, kindness, strength, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her. Her devotion to her husband and family was the heart of her life, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, Connecticut.
