

Hideko (Yokoyama) Campbell, 87, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, of East Hartford died peacefully on January 14th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, a daughter of the late Gingiro and Kiku Yokoyama and came to the United States in 1952. She worked at the Travelers Insurance Company as an Accounting Technician for over 25 years before retirement. She was a member of the New Covenant United Methodist Church in East Hartford. She was predeceased by her husband William R. Campbell. She is survived by her sons Russell of East Hartford, Thomas and wife Karen of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Scott and his wife Julie of Safety Harbor, Florida and Wayne and his wife Deborah of Mystic, two brothers Katsuhiro and Takehiro, two sisters Aiko and Shizuko all of Tokyo, Japan, 8 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two special and devoted friends, Joyce Campbell and Wesley Klein. Another son Gary Lee Campbell and her brother Matsuhiro predeceased her. Funeral services and burial are private but in lieu of flowers if you so choose we the family would recommend donations to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St. Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
