

Jacqueline Dallas Corbiere Crooks, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6th, 2013. Jacqueline was born in Newton, Mass., on December 25, 1936, a daughter of the late James Dallas and Marguerite (Marcy) Corbiere.
Jackie lived and raised her three children in Glastonbury, CT for 43 years. She graduated from Finch College, NY, NY earning a Bachelor of Science. She will be remembered as an independent, free spirited, loving, artistic woman who loved her children above all else. She loved her animals, enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was involved in charity work through membership in the Silverliners for the CT Children’s Medical Center and the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang Camp.
Jackie leaves behind to cherish her memory her 3 children, Marguerite Anne Novak and her husband Joseph of East Longmeadow, MA., Jonathan Howard Crooks of Hartford, and Jennifer Catherine Crooks of Naugatuck, 2 granddaughters, Katherine Jeanne and Jacqueline Dallas Novak, sister Georgia Whitney and her husband Dick of Guilford, niece Jacqueline Nichols and she will be dearly missed by her companion and partner, Morgan Seelye.
Jacqueline is predeceased by her loving husband Howard E. Crooks (01/1931 – 11/1977) and her twin sister Marguerite C. Haider (12/1936 – 06/2006)
Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation from 4:00-7:00pm on Thursday, May 9th, 2013 at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, CT.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Church of Christ Congregational, 2183 Main Street, Glastonbury, CT on Friday, May 10th at 10 am., with burial to follow immediately in the family plot in Wilcox Cemetery, Bellingham, MA
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106.
