

James J. Soucie, 68, of North Windham formerly of Manchester, passed away December 20th, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born in Hartford in 1942, to Joseph and Loretta Soucie.
After high school Jim entered the military serving in the United States Army, stationed in Germany from 59-62’
Jim was a member of the award wining US Men’s Hair Stylist team in 1980. He was an original owner of Headline Hair Design in Hartford, he also owned several salons in Florida and more recently in Manchester. Many heads will miss him.
Besides his mother, he leaves his wife and best friend of 3 decades, Suzanne; his son, Daniel Soucie and his wife Shelly of Plainfield; his daughters, Kimberly Neff of Rockville, Christina Mormino of Simsbury and April Anderson of Florida; his brother Al Soucie and his wife Marge of Ellington; his grandchildren, Kayla, Danielle, Sarah, Molly, Donnie and Katie.
Family and friends are invited on Wednesday, Dec. 29th at 8:45am to the Callahan, Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, followed by a Mass to be celebrated at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, 15 Maplewood Ave, East Hartford. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28th, from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Per his wishes, Jim’s ashes will be scattered in warm waters.
