

Born and raised in East Hartford, Jean worked for Veeder Root in Hartford as an assembler for many years after graduating from East Hartford High. A talented athlete, Jean proudly played basketball and softball on her company teams. Always keeping busy, Jean was the “go to” person for most occasions. She charmed many with her contagious sense of humor. She most cherished time spent with her family. She was a very caring and loving woman, who will be missed dearly by many close friends and family members.
Jean is survived by her brother, Fred Koelsch and his wife Francine of Marlborough; her niece Lynne Chagnot of South Windsor, Sandra Goller and Glen of West Springfield, MA; her nephews, Justin Koelsch and his wife Laura of Willimantic, Jason Koelsch and his wife Deidra of Columbia ; her grand nephews, James Goller of West Springfield, MA, Gary Wichroski Jr. ,Brian and Kevin Chagnot all of South Windsor and Nathan and Terrence Koelsch of Columbia, her grand nieces, Beth Macdonald and her husband Jerry and Kayla Goller all of West Springfield, MA, Lisa Wodal of Manchester, Sarah Goldstein and her husband Adam of South Windsor, Rachel Koelsch of Salem MA and Veronica Koelsch of Columbia, her great grand nephews, Jaret Wodal and Austin Chagnot and her great grand niece Daytona Goldstein. Jean is predeceased by her brother Edward Koelsch and her sister Helen Dame.
Funeral Services will be held Monday April 4th, from 10 am to 12pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford. Burial is private.
