OBITUARY
Jeanette Pierce
March 9, 1927 – January 11, 2021
Jeanette Pierce, age 93, wife of the late Eugene Pierce, of East Hartford passed away peacefully on January 11th surrounded by her family. Jeanette was born March 9th, 1927 in St Agatha, Maine to the late Albenie and Annie Ouellette. She married Eugene Pierce and they made their home in East Hartford, Ct. Jeanette was a devoted wife and mother and they enjoyed spending many of their weekends in Vermont with family. Jeanette loved watching the Atlanta Braves, her favorite baseball team. She loved cooking Sunday dinners and spending lots of quality time with family. She had a great sense of humor, an unwavering smile. Jeanette was a truly caring and selfless individual, never wanting to inconvenience anyone. Whenever anyone visited her house she made certain they were properly fed. Her generosity did not stop at humans, she was very fond of her pets and ensured they were fed their fair share of table scraps every day! She is survived and will be dearly missed by her sister; Leona Chassie, brother; Albert Ouellette, daughter; Maria Dixon, grandchildren; Dennis McCauley, Joshua Reed, Marc Reed, Dylan Reed and Nikki Vowles, and her 5 great grandchildren. Jeanette was also predeceased by her husband; Eugene Pierce and sons; Dennis Reed and Raymond Reed. Jeanette's family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Vernon VNA Hospice staff for their wonderful care and to Virginia Gromelski for her many acts of kindness and support during her illness.
