Joseph Leonard Curran

Joseph Leonard Curran, 76, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Ruth (Levine) Curran, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2015, with his wife by his side. He was born on September 20, 1938, in Somerville, MA, son of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Sweeney) Curran. Joe was a graduate of East Hartford High School. He went on to serve our country with the U.S. Air Force. Joe worked as an administrator for 40 years at the Law Offices of H.L. Schiff.

In addition to his wife, Ruth, he will be dearly missed by his sister in-law Janet Curran of South Windsor, nephew Brian Curran and his wife Dina of Marlborough, grandnieces Penelope and Violet Curran. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul Curran and sister, Ann Rita Curran.

Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Monday, January 12, 2015, from 10:30am-12:30pm, at the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108, followed by a Funeral Service, 12:30pm at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford.
