Kenneth W. Schofield Sr.

Kenneth William Schofield, Sr., 63, of East Hartford, the beloved husband of Linda Schofield, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on March 22, 2012. He was born on April 29, 1948, a son of the late Kenneth P. and Dorothy (Neuschulten) Schofield.

Ken and Linda lived and raised their family in East Hartford. Ken was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His children and grandchildren were the greatest joys of his life. He was an avid Red Sox fan, and cherished the love of his family.

In addition to his loving wife Linda, he will be deeply missed by his daughter Melissa Vicino and her husband Justin of East Hampton, his son Kenneth W. Schofield Jr. and his wife Karen of East Hartford. His grandchildren who were the light of his life; Skylar, Brayden, and Sydney Vicino; Mara, Brett and Jason Schofield. Ken also is survived by his brother Art Schofield and his wife Maureen of Manchester, brother Charles Buckland of East Hartford, sister-in-law Loretta Martocchio, and sister-in-law Annette Ceniglio and her husband Gerald, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Ken is predeceased in death by his parents and his brother Robert Buckland.

Calling hours are to be held on Tuesday, March 27th from 4-7PM at the Benjamin J. Callahan/Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. Funeral services are to be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 beginning at 10AM at the funeral home followed by his Celebration of Life service at 11AM. Military honors will be held at the funeral home.
