

Krisann (LaMarre) Grabka, 56, beloved wife of Alfred Grabka, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford to the late Edmund and Lillian (Potter) LaMarre.
Kris was a lifelong resident of East Hartford, graduating from Penney High School then Briarwood College. She worked at Hartford Hospital at the cancer registry for over 30 years. She was a kind and loving woman who enjoyed the outdoors, riding her bicycle and water sports. She was a member of the Ellington Hog Club and enjoyed many motorcycle rides with her husband. She was the cofounder of the Coyote River Band. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband of 25 years, Kris is survived by her sister, Sandra Gorborino and her husband John of South Windsor; her sister in-law Donna LaMarre; her three nephews, John and his wife Jacqueline and James and his wife Susan and Bobby LaMarre; five great nieces and nephews, Jared, Jack, Jonah, Samuel and Julia; her CRB band members; many dear neighbors, coworkers and friends; her cherished furry kitty's, Cassie and Moka. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert LaMarre.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 10:00AM, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 673 Ellington Rd., South Windsor CT 06074. Please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery in East Hartford.
