

Born in Henryville Quebec Canada she was predeceased by her husband, Edmond, in 1999. She is survived by her five children, Guy & Danell Guerin, Jacqueline & Donald Luizzi, Irene & Frank Courtois, Suzan & Leon Christiana and James & Nancy Guerin.
She was also predeceased by five (5) of her seven (7) brothers, all who resided in Canada.
Leona was a loving, kind and generous woman who was very hospitable and always welcoming to all who came to visit her home, whether by offering something to drink, a meal or special treats from her many candy bowls which never ran empty. She was loved by many, but especially by her grandchildren & great grandchildren, Patrick (Kelli), David (Mandi), Donald (Samantha), Ann, Esther, Richard (Sharon), Matthew, Dana (Lance), Dustin, Jack & Grace. Kolby, Kade, Rease, Hayli, Haydin, Huntyr, Skyler, Savannah, Katie, Bella, Jameson, Ashlan, Landan & Laytan. Also dear to her heart were her close friends, the Coutures who always called her grandma. She will be missed the most by her loyal & constant furry companion, Chay-Chay.
The family would also like to thank the North Central Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses, Social Worker and Aides for the loving compassionate care that they gave our mother and us over the last several months.
The Family will be receiving relatives & friends on Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 am at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer St., East Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. The Burial will immediately follow the Mass at the Veterans Memorial Field-Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
