As a rookie cop, I first met LeRoy #050, when he was a detective. He had no pretense and made one feel comfortable. He was a self taught crime fighter and had more contacts and informants on both sides of the law. If somebody could develop information about a crime, LeRoy was a most likely source. He refused promotion to sergeant so he could stay close "to the streets". LeRoy was brave and never backed off. He could walk in to chief Drumm's and chief Brazalovich's office anytime and tell them what he thought. He served in his own right as a "field training officer" to we street cops twenty years before there was formal FTO's. Most importantly LeRoy taught me to treat everyone with respect. He now joins his beloved Judy, Tony Piacenta, Tony Navikas, Neil Huber and Jack Rocks to name a few. God bless LeRoy and thanks for the countless memories. #091
