Lester N Yarnell

Lester was born on December 10, 1942 in Cambridge, OH to Wilmer and Dorothy (Kays) Yarnell. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Air Force. He served 14 years as a volunteer EMT in South Windsor, was a 53 year member/affiliate of the Boy Scouts of America reaching the level of Eagle Scout, 35 year life member of the VFW Post #2083, past member of the Chesapeake & Ohio Historical Society, current member of the National Cambridge Glass Collectors Society, and member of the East Hartford CERT.

Lester is survived by his daughters, Stacey Hershman and her husband Gino of East Hartford, Christy Stamm of FL; sisters, Cathryn Bowers of MD, Ruth Naylor of PA; brother, Bruce Yarnell of MD as well as three grandsons. He is predeceased by his brothers James Yarnell and Donald Yarnell.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 5pm until 7pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 10:30am in the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in the CT Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
