Stark, Lillian (Zuhusky), 79, of East Hartford, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center in East Hartford. Lillian had been in residence at Riverside for the past 13 years and considered it to be her home. She would have been 80 on December 28th. Lillian was born in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Frances (Ciesla) Zuhusky. She moved with her late husband, Robert, to East Hartford when he was hired at Pratt and Whitney in 1954 and made East Hartford her home. In her younger days, Lillian loved spending time at the shore, both Connecticut and Rhode Island, and amusement parks with her family. She treasured her summer vacations in Rhode Island. She also enjoyed shopping for herself and family members, and dining out. She had a sweet tooth and a passion for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Lillian was a friend to most everyone she met - she was always quick to offer advice regarding upcoming milestones such as turning your clocks back or ahead. She loved to play Bingo, attend the monthly birthday parties for the residents, visit her friend Millie in the gift shop and just travel the halls in her wheelchair. She loved her family above all else and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her two daughters, Lois Classon and Mary Bisson, both of Manchester, her grandchildren, James Classon and his wife Patricia, of Portland, Steven Classon and his wife, Jennifer, of Enfield, Robert Bisson and his wife Jennifer, of Manchester, Nicole and Sarah Bisson of Manchester, and her two great grand-children, Courtney Classon, of Portland and Joshua Classon, of Enfield. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Robert, Lillian was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Zuhusky. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care and loving support of the staff at Riverside Health Center, especially the staff on the 2CD Wing. Many of you were like family to Lillian. Thank you also to the Hospice team at Masonicare of East Hartford for the care provided over the past few weeks.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday (May 31st) at 11 AM at St Christopher Church, 538 Brewer St., East Hartford, CT with burial to follow in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
