

Linda Rose (Lovett) Collins, 60, of Hartford, beloved companion of Stephen Hazelwood, passed away on April 21, 2012 at Hartford Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 26, 1952 in Hartford to the late Donald Lovett SR. and Barbara (Clark) Lovett.
She graduated from East Hartford High School then moved to Hartford in 1989 where she resided for 23 years. Linda was employed for many years at the Salvation Army. She was a loving mother, devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She had a good sense of humor always making others smile. She adored animals, especially her cat Maxi. She enjoyed volunteer work and spent most of her time helping others. A strong woman, she will be most remembered for her kind heart and good nature.
In addition to her companion of 21 years, Stephen Hazelwood, she will be dearly missed by her children Monica Collins of East Hartford and Shawn Lovett of Manchester; her brother Robert Lovett of Coventry; her niece Erica Lovett and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends that will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her brother Donald Lovett JR.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012, at 11AM, at the Truth Baptist Church, 60 Burnham St., East Hartford, CT 06108. Friends are asked to gather at the church. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 26th, from 5 to 8PM, at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108.
