Luba N. Bailey, 87, wife of the late Francis M. Bailey, and daughter of the late Arkdy and Agafia (Anihowsky) Niciewsky, passed away peacefully April 21, 2011. Born in Minsk, Russia, she was a longtime resident of Glastonbury.
Luba worked at both Glastonbury and Wethersfield Town Halls for many years. She was a communicant of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Salem, MA.
She is survived by her two daughters; Karen E. Villar and her husband Joseph of North Port, FL., Susan E. Bailey of Unionville, CT., two grandchildren; Joseph L. Villar III and his wife Karen, and David A. Villar, her three great grandchildren; Ashley Villar, Joseph Villar IV and Tanesha Prioleau Villar, two brothers; Arthur Niciewsky of Seminole, FL., and Leo Niciewsky of Danvers, MA . She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Luba was predeceased by her granddaughter-in-law, Linda Brown Villar, and her sister-in-law, Lorriane Niciewsky.
The family would like to thank Aurora Healthcare of Cromwell and Middlesex Hospice and Palliative Care for taking such good care of Luba.
