Lucy M. Alessi, 99, beloved wife of the late James S. Alessi of Jamestown, NY passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Springfield MA surrounded by her loving family. Lucy was born November 16, 1918 in Jamestown, NY to the late Joseph Piazza and Mary (Margaglia) Piazza.

Lucy graduated from Jamestown High School in 1938. She married James in 1944 while he was serving in the military during WW2. Lucy and James were married over 70 years.

Following this, Lucy became employed by the New York State Workmen’s Compensation Division in Rochester, NY. Hi Mom! This is Jamie. We really miss you, but i know you are now with Dad on your wedding anniversary and that makes me very happy.

I know you have not been feeling good, but I am so glad you are without pain now. I am so happy we spent last weekend together. You were always there for all of us even when you did not feel well. You and dad would do anything for us.

You touched so many lives. Everywhere you lived your friends would always say great things about you.

We are all at rosemarys house this weekend. The house seems empty without you. I see you everywhere in the house . I will message again.
Love Jamie. Miss you much.

Hi Mom, This is Bob. You know your son from way out there in Seattle. I miss your big smile already. You have pushed me forward all my life and I really appreciate that. You have always been such a positive influence on my life. I just wish that we weren't so far away so that you could have enjoyed more of your West Coast family especially your great grandchildren. Maybe now you can watch them from above and help guide them as you have done for all of us. Tell Dad Hi! Tell him we miss him very much too. Get those square dancing cloths on again and fun with your Rochester and Florida friends again...and also tell the BIg Guy Hi!

Loving Son,
Bob

Mom, we miss you so much! I can't believe you left us right on your wedding anniversary. I know you wanted to be with dad, and we are happy that you can now be together forever.

I am so glad I came here last weekend, and was able to spend time together. I know you have been struggling, and you have not been feeling well, but even during all of this you made sure that everything was good with me and my family. You even wanted to me to the mall and buy me something. You cared about everyone else before yourself

You taught us to treat everyone with respect and always be courteous and well mannered.

We are at Rosemary's house this weekend. Everyone is coming here to celebrate your service on Monday. Allot of the family will be here but being so far away not everyone is able to come. The house is so empty, I can see you walking throughout the house.

The tributes have been pouring in since you left us. That shows how much you were liked and respected. Miss you so much mom. I will continue to think about you for ever. Love Jamie
