

Leda Marie (Theriault) Cote, 100, was the 4th oldest of 19 children, and a twin, born to Eugene Theriault and Alice (Michaud) Theriault on June 2, 1922 in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada. In addition to being a registered nurse, working at the Hotel-Dieu Hospital in Edmonson, New Brunswick, she and her Husband ran a farm and Leda’s Grocery in Caribou, Maine until moving to Connecticut in 1970 where she worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for many years retiring in 1992. Leda was predeceased by her husband Chester in 1976, and son Rex Cote in 1989. She leaves behind her son Mel Cote and his wife Cassie of North Port, Florida, daughter Tina James and her husband Harold T. James of South Glastonbury Connecticut. Granddaughters Denyelle Plenzio, Brandee James, grandsons Mark Cote, Kevin Cote, Ben Cote and seven great grandchildren all of Connecticut. Three sisters, Regina Paquin, Judy Cyr, Antionette Theriault and brother Paul Theriault and many nieces and nephews scattered about Canada and the USA.
A celebration of her life will be held on November 2, 2022 at 9:30 am at Truth Baptist Church, 60 Burnham Street, South Windsor, CT 06074, where she was an active member for many years. There will be no calling hours.
