Mary R. Ferrando

Mary Rivera Ferrando, 95, of South Glastonbury, passed away peacefully, May 12th, 2012. She was the wife of the late George Ferrando. Mary was born Jan. 30, 1917 in Manhattan, NY, daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Carra) Rivera.

Mary is survived by her two sons and their families; Richard Ferrando and his wife Cathy of Lake Placid, FL, and Robert Ferrando and his wife Louise of Wallingford. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren; Nicholas Ferrando and his wife Jennifer of Conifer, CO, Gregory Ferrando and his wife Elizabeth of Weehawken, NJ, Joseph Ferrando and his wife Faith of Cumberland, RI, David Ferrando of Quincy, MA, and by her great grandchildren; George Ferrando of Conifer, CO, and Eric Ferrando of Cumberland, RI.

Friends and family are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 16th, at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made in Mary’s memory to Mary Wade Home Residents Fund, 118 Clinton Ave, New Haven, CT. 06513.
