Mildred F Christiansen Cooley

Mildred F. (Christensen) Cooley, 89, beloved wife of the late Harold G. Cooley, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was raised in East Hartford by Bill and Nellie (Winans) Demers. Millie was a longtime resident of Marlborough. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was gentle, kind and always available for advice or a shoulder to cry on. She will be most remembered for her kind nature and loving smile. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Millie is survived by her three daughters, Sharon DeCarli and her husband Dean of Rockville, Diana Perkins and her husband Roger of Marlborough, Wendy Ogden and her husband Frank of East Hartford; her sister Linda Stauch and her husband David of Feeding Hills, MA; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Millie was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Rudin.

Friends and family are invited to Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, on Wednesday, February 25th, at 10:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Donations in Millie name may be made: Roy Pettengill Ambulance Association of Marlborough or Middlesex Hospital Hospice.
