Nancy Ann Gallant

She was a native and lifelong resident of East Hartford. Nancy attended local schools and was formerly employed at Pratt & Whitney.

Nancy was an Eastern Star Member for over 50 years, and was a Daughter of the American Revolution. She was an avid sport enthusiast, and especially enjoyed UCONN Women’s Basketball. Nancy liked reading, knitting, gardening and bird watching, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard A. Gallant; her son Richard G. Gallant and his wife, Bethany; daughter, Maggie Silver and her husband, Jay; a special friend, Nancy Wiesner and her husband Charles, and her devoted cat, Lord Nelson.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 30th, 2015.At 12:00 PM at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 10: 00 to 12:00 at the Funeral Home

Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery.
