

Olga Lichatz Malick, wife of the late Peter Malick, passed away on Sunday, September 21st, 2014. Born on December 26, 1928, to John and Anna Lichatz, Olga was a lifelong resident of East Hartford and a member of All Saints Orthodox Church in Hartford, CT. She served in the FROC along with the Church Sisterhood and sang joyfully in the choir for many years.
Olga was predeceased by her husband, Peter and her five brothers: Nickolas, Michael, John, William and her twin Frederick. She leaves her children, David and his wife, Nancy of Manchester and Linda Kolios and her husband John of East Hartford. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Daniel and Connor Malick along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude to family and friends that visited and called on Olga and thank Katie Precourt and Maria Batista from Masonicare for all their help and assistance. They also would like to extend a very special and heartfelt thank you to Zofia Dawidowicz, Olga’s companion and caregiver who provided extraordinary care for the last year of her life.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 24th, from 4 to 7PM, at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT with a Pannikhida at 5:30PM. The Funeral Service will be held at All Saints Orthodox Church, 204 Scarborough St. Hartford, on Thursday, September 25th, at 10:30AM followed by a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Olga’s name to Masonicare Home Health and Hospice or All Saints Orthodox Church.
