Patricia Juanita Corbin

Born on January 21, 1954 in St. Peter, Barbados, Patricia was daughter to the late Clyde and Eleanor (Reid) McCollin.

Patricia dedicated her life to helping others, and worked for over 25 years in healthcare. She worked at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center at East Hartford, and at New Seasons in Manchester as a nurse’s aide and patient care specialist.

Patricia was also very dedicated to her family, and she was happiest when she was surrounded by her loved ones. She looked forward to spending time with all of her family, and was particularly excited to welcome her first grandson, Sean Anderson Ross, in 2016.

Patricia is survived by and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Tricia Ross and her son-in-law Philip Ross of Norwich, her precious grandson Sean Anderson Ross, and her former spouse Richard Burton Corbin.

She is also survived by her six siblings: Marjorie Jeanette Brathwaite of Ontario, Canada, Marva Watson-Timothy of East Hartford, Connecticut, David McCollin of St. Peter, Barbados, Judy Clement of Boston, Massachusetts, William McCollin of Freeport, New York, and Maureen McCollin of Freeport, New York, as well as her brother and sister-in laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Patricia’s life on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. There will be a service at 2:30pm, and we encourage all who would like to, to come up and speak and share a special memory or story about Patricia.
