Patricia (Patty) Anne Royce, 75, a life-long resident of East Hartford passed away unexpectedly on Monday March 2, 2020 at her home. She was born in Hartford to the late Thomas Meunier and Eileen (Condon). She was a graduate of Putnam Academy. Her trusted sidekick Fenway, who was her most loved protector, a Pomeranian/Chihuahua will miss her dearly. Patty was a talented artist known for her love of cooking, love of good books and QVC, and most of all, her love of being surrounded by good people. Patty was a member and had many friends at the Moose Lodge, a place that she considered home. Patty is survived by and will be dearly missed by her sons Patrick, and his wife Michelle, of Farmington, who were always there for her, John Rush of Granby, whom she recently had the pleasure of meeting, and Timothy of Nevada; daughter Kelli Jenkins & Kevin Dlugokinski of Manchester; cherished sister Marueen Suchenski and husband Richard, of Belleville, IL; her grandchildren who always made her smile: Jessica, Benjamin, Jack and Ella Royce, Caitlyn Jenkins, Cassidy and Morgan Dlugokinski, and Emily and Madison Royce; her two great-grandchildren: Juliana and Greyson; as well as nieces and nephews: Deb, Kathy, Rick, Tom, and Joe. A special thanks to Ann Merwin for always keeping an eye on Mom. For Fenway’s best friend and dog walker, Michael you were a true friend. Lastly, for Donna and Kathy being there for Mom and always keeping her laughing. A memorial service for Patty will be held on March 7, 2020 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, CT.
