Patrick James Sullivan

Patrick James Sullivan, 69, of Hartford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him. Born on March 27, 1957, he was the son of the late Edwin Sr. and Genevieve Sullivan.

Patrick is survived by his beloved daughters, Katelyn Sullivan and Megan Sullivan; their mother, Anna Duggan Sullivan; and his three cherished grandchildren, Jaden, Mya, and King.

Predeceased by his sister, Mary Ellen Sullivan. Patrick leaves behind his siblings, Michael Sullivan (Lise), Joanne Dumais (Andy), Susan Soboleski, Dennis Sullivan (Suzanne), Joseph Sullivan (SueAnn), and Edwin Sullivan Jr. (Karen), along with 13 nieces and nephews and countless great-nieces and great-nephews.

Patrick grew up and spent most of his life in East Hartford, Connecticut. He developed a love of sports at an early age, both playing and watching them throughout his life. He played Little League and midget football alongside his older brother, Mike. He especially enjoyed going to Fenway Park to watch the Red Sox play.

Patrick was a great dancer with a passion for music. Throughout his life, you could often find him listening to Elvis Presley, enjoying classic John Wayne movies, or watching NASCAR. He had a zest for life, fueled by his charm and charisma. Patrick had a special way of brightening a room with his smile and making people laugh.

He loved family gatherings, taking in the sun on his boat or chasing the need for speed in any classic American sports car. He was an avid dog lover enjoying best man's company.

Life brought Patrick struggles and challenges, particularly as his health declined over the years. Yet, whenever someone took the time to visit him, he would still greet them with warmth and kindness.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Trinity Hill Care Center for their dedicated and loving care of Patrick throughout the years.

Patrick will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends and in the many cherished memories they shared with him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on October 1st, 2026, at 10AM, at St. Mary Church, 15 Maplewood Ave., East Hartford. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family.
