Pauline Leone, 88, beloved wife for 57 years of the late Paul Leone, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Michele & Marietta (Giansiracusa) Bonaiuto. Born and raised in East Hartford, she and Paul chose to remain there to raise their own children in a wonderful neighborhood filled with friends and a lifetime of memories. It was, indeed, her happy place, and brought her comfort until this very day.
She was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Parish and the church was very near and dear to her heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the beach in Old Lyme and also travelling frequently to Sicily to spend time with relatives. She loved caring for her houseplants and was an avid knitter; and up until very recently, made hats, scarves and blankets for those in need.
Pauline is survived by her children and their spouses, Mark and Joyce (Kucia) Leone, and Teresa and Sal Russo. Her grandchildren were the joys of her life and always surrounded her with love and affection. She leaves Dana and her husband Tim Kinel, their son John Paul, Keri and her husband Nicholas Procko, Sal Russo, Paul Leone and his wife Courtney, and Daniel Leone and his fiancée Jessica Harriman.
