Pauline Nadeau, 94, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully, leaving behind Fernand, her devoted husband of 73 years. Pauline was born in Drummondville, P Quebec, Canada. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary's Church, now North American Martyrs Church in East Hartford, CT.
Pauline's family was the center of her life. She was the ultimate homemaker, who gave all of her time to her family, creating wonderful recipes, gardening, oil painting, and sewing. Pauline always counted her blessings and was thankful for life’s simplest pleasures of family, friends, and neighbors.
Pauline enjoyed spending weekends and vacations in Vermont where the family built a vacation home. She loved gathering with family from Canada, entertaining friends, and making maple syrup. Pauline also worked outside of the home at Capewell Industries in Hartford for 14 years.
Pauline leaves behind her four children, Colette Olexa and husband John, of Amherst, NH, Jocelyne Frazier and husband Daniel, of Glastonbury, CT, Jean Luc Nadeau and partner Karen Gagliardi of Newington, CT, Denis Nadeau and wife Peggy, of Manchester, CT. The family would like to acknowledge the kindness of wonderful neighbors, Marva and Tony Gilkes, Marisol Acevedo, Eddy Rodriguez, and so many lifelong friends including Yolande and Conrad Mathieu, Annette and Sylvia St. Jean, who visited and offered so much support as well as all the many generous caregivers of Athena Hospice Care, Mariluz Bonilla and Noraliz Kart of Abuelos Care, and Tina Zwick, who are all true angels.
