Rita LeBlanc Belliveau

Rita LaBlanc Belliveau, 90, of Mesa, AZ., previous resident of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 23, 1922, in Collage Bridge, Canada, and was the beloved widow of Hector J. Belliveau.

Rita left a beautiful legacy for her children and grandchildren, sharing with them her love of music. She touched many people by playing her piano, singing and tap dancing.

Rita is survived by her 10 children and their spouses; Bernard & Betty Belliveau of East Hartford, Jacqueline and Richard Benedict of Surprise, AZ., Linda Rapson of Willimantic, Leonce Belliveau of Sunapee, NH., Denise Belliveau of Nevada City, CA., Josette Gagne of Shapleigh, ME., Arnold Belliveau of Phoenix, AZ., Carol and Mark Germano of Oakville, CT., Betsy and Greg Huston of Tempe, AZ., and Catherine and Edward Satonick of Charlotte, NC. Rita will also be dearly missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Hector, Rita is predeceased by her grandson Jon Benedict.

Calling hours are to be held on Sunday, April 14th from 1-4PM at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, CT 06108. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 15th, at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with burial immediately following in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
