Robert A. Kirol

Robert Kirol, 48 of New Britain, passed away March 15, 2011 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut with his family by his side. Bob was born in Hartford, the son of the late John and Kathleen (Reynolds) Kirol. He graduated from George J. Penney High School, East Hartford, class of 1982. Bob worked for R.F. Beckwith for many years in the construction business and was currently going to school to be a locksmith. Bob was a recipient of the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) Award and made his parents very proud. He enjoyed an annual trip to Misquamicut Beach with his wife Mary to celebrate their anniversary. Bob enjoyed working on model Battleships, playing indoor soccer, chess and pool. Bob was a very loving person and loved being with his children, whom he was very proud. Bob made friends instantly and his character would light up a room. Bob was a jokester and could pull off a good joke with a straight face. His jokes, smile and warmth will be missed by all.

The family would also like to thank the nurses at the East Wing Critical Care unit at The Hospital of Central Connecticut for their compassionate care and support to the family.

He is also survived by his children Jennifer Morrell of Danielson, his sons Christopher Brown of Somerville, MA, Michael Brown of Burlington and daughter Crystal Nieves of Hartford, brothers Patrick, Ione, Washington, David all of East Hartford, James of Des Moines Washington, Thomas of Manchester, Christopher of East Hartford, sisters Patricia Kirol of East Hartford and Mary Anne Novak of South Windsor and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Bob was predeceased by his wife Mary (Kuzik) Kirol and brothers Peter and Paul Kirol.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 19, 2011 at 2:00PM at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108. Friends and relatives are invited to gather at the funeral home one hour earlier.
