

Rosalinde M. “Rose” Ouellette, 65, of East Hartford, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home. Rose was born in Van Buren, Maine, a daughter of the late Willie and Marie (Gagnon) Soucy. She was the Head Cook at the Michael D. Fox Elementary School in Hartford for 20 years and worked for the City of Hartford School Department for a total of 28 years in food service. Rose was predeceased by her husband Eddie Ouellette in 1975. Rose loved flower's, especially red rose’s and enjoyed the smell of lilacs. She was everything a mother and grandmother could be in every sense of the word, her family was her life and she was always there for them. She loved children and enjoyed cooking at the school for them. Her own children always came first, she was a stay at home mom and even when she went back to work, her work was at the school, where she could still watch over her kids. She enjoyed her summers off, being with her family and friends and floating around the pool. She enjoyed riding along with Darrell in the 18 wheeler, while he was trucking. She is survived by her significant other of 34 years, Darrell Beaulier of East Hartford, her daughters Ann Marie Webb and her husband Mark of Roscoe, Illinois and Christine Ouellette of East Hartford, her three sons Michael Ouellette of Newtown, Connecticut, Ricky Ouellette of Bristol, Connecticut and Mark Ouellette of East Hartford, Connecticut, her three brothers Percy Gagnon of Hartford, Connecticut, Willie Soucy of Mapleton, Maine and Lawrence Soucy of Brownsville, Texas, her five sisters, Velma Ouellette of Caribou, Maine, Jackie Casey of Wells, Maine, Theresa Violette Of Willimantic, Connecticut, Jeanine Thibeault of Eagle Lake, Maine and Genevieve Soucy of Van Buren, Maine, three treasured grandchildren Sarah Morris, Ashlyn Webb and Conor Webb and countless nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday December 28, 2010 at 11AM at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, Connecticut. Burial will follow in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Monday, December 27, 2010 from 4-8PM. Rose will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Rest In Peace.
