

Rose D. Hopkins, 95, of Apopka passed away November 10th at Hospice of the Comforter surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born in New York, New York and moved to Orlando in 1977 to be close to her family. Rose was deeply loved by those who knew her and will be dearly missed. Her proudest achievement was her loving family. Rose had the most infectious smile that showed throughout her life time. She was known to many as a very dedicated Wife, Mother and Grandmother and Great Grandmother as well as a devout Catholic. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and son Joseph Peter. She is survived by her daughter Rose Marie Barone, son Richard Hopkins (Carol) of Apopka, FL and son Bernard (Joy) of East Hartford, CT, along with six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 15th at 1:30PM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury, CT. followed by a graveside Memorial Service at Green Cemetery, Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Rose’s memory to Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs, Florida.
