Roseann Knowlen

Roseann Knowlen, 96, wife of the late Rudell Knowlen Sr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 29, 2025. She was born October 16, 1929 in Maine a daughter of the late Patrick and Nellie McSheffery. Roseann retired from Bank of America, was a parishioner of St.Isaac Joaques Church and an active member of the East Hartford Senior Center where she played bingo as often as she could.

Roseann is survived by a daughter; Trudy (Kenny) Soucy, two sons; Harry (Paula) Knowlen and Rudell Knowlen Jr., three sisters; Phyllis, Irene and Martha, nine grandchildren; Michelle(Mike) Marzi, David (Gabriela) Soucy, Wendy (Stephen) Godin, Christopher Knowlen, Matthew (Tiffany)Knowlen, Amy (Greg) Roonan, Kelly Knowlen, Michael (Jackie) Figueredo and Jennifer Lyons and 10 great-grandchildren; Jorden, Evan, Madelyn, Bennett, Lucy, Isabella, Liam, Rowan, Mackenzie and Jaina. She was predeceased by a son; Richard Knowlen, grandson; Patrick Knowlen, four brothers; Charles, Robert, George and Patrick and two sisters; Florence and Mildred.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, November 3, 2025 from 1-2pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT. Burial with committal prayers will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford, CT.
